GX-1600

Steel goes pro.

The GX-1600.
Ambitious gravel riding.

With its weight of just over 8 kg, the top gravel model GX-1600 is the absolute non-plus-ultra bike in the GX series - even for ambitious professionals. Ex-MTB pro Torsten Marx was the only starter at the UCI Gravel World Championships in Italy in fall 2023 on the GX-1600 with a steel frame. Despite a heavy crash in the first third of the 169 km long World Championship course, Torsten Marx was able to fight his way back to 14th place and was the best German rider in his age group.

By the way, you can see the original World Championship bike here! So if you find a bit of dirt or small imperfections in the paintwork on the photos here or on the bike details page, you now know why.

Frame & components?
Non-Plus-Ultra.

With a steel frame made with the finest craftsmanship, high-end carbon components and rims from Schmolke and the SRAM RED XPLR eTap AXS12-speed groupset, a Columbus Futura Cross Carbon fork or DTSwiss hubs with ceramic bearings, we have completed a professional's wish list.

The frame is produced by hand in a southern German forge specializing in the finest steel frames. In order to keep it particularly light, it was designed so that it can only be equipped with a “wireless shifting system”. There are no eyelets for cables, nor is there any provision for internal routing.

In addition, the selection of the finest components impressively demonstrates that the GX-1600 is not just a collector's item for gravel enthusiasts, but is also “at home” in professional racing.

Do you want to know what it looks like in a workshop for high-end steel frames?
Here are a few impressions from the production of the new non-plus-ultra bike.

With the GX-1600, we have focussed on lightweight, race-ready and top performance.
